Dear Friends:

Well, another month has flown by!  We are happy to see many of our neighbors arriving for the season, and we have certainly noticed the increase in traffic around town.  The spring has also brought us a beautiful garden and many good days for sitting out in the patio area enjoying the sunshine.

We had a visit from Geno this month.  He spent a morning here at The Homestead and interviewed several people for a video show that you can watch on his TV channel, #99.  There are clearly some moments!  You can never know what someone is going to say!   We had a great time doing this and hope that it will bring some attention and interest to our lovely home.  We extend many thanks to Geno for all his time and efforts in support of The Homestead.

John Bartlett, a resident here at The Homestead for almost 23 years, has moved to Our Island Home.  We were very sad to see him leave, but are sure he will make a great adjustment to his new surroundings and meet many new friends.  If you happen to be down there visiting, please stop by and say hello!

In June we celebrate Roz's birthday on the 8th, and Emma's very special 103rd on the 26th!  Happy birthday wishes to both wonderful ladies.

Our friends from the Visiting Nurses Association are wrapping up their "A Matter of Balance" series in June.  The class has been full, and we enjoyed sharing our space with them for these 8 weeks.  Good luck to all the participants and to the instructors(Ella Finn RN, Suzanne Gerardi PT, and our very own Director Linda Roberts)!  Perhaps we will have the opportunity to do it again!

As many of you know, our cook, Diane Flaherty, is having hip surgery in June.  Even though this will take her away from The Homestead for the summer, we are all hoping she feels so good after her recovery that she is dancing on the tables upon her return!  We truly wish her the best!  She has promised us umbrella drinks on her deck in July!  You are going to do just great Diane, we are all rooting for you!

Take care and enjoy your day!
